Rose Wolstenholme - Chair
In addition to a successful career in real estate, transportation and raising children, over the last 15 years Rose has been an active volunteer for many community causes. Her family and serving the community are key personal priorities. Rose is a two-term past president of the University of Calgary Swim Club, Canada’s premier source of provincial, national and world-class competitive swimmers. As the parent of a swimmer, Rose has volunteered as a swim meet official at many levels from timer to referee. She is also an avid runner and has ran many charity marathons etc in and around Calgary. She currently volunteers with the Brentwood Community Association (Development Committee), the Schizophrenia Society (Fundraising volunteer), and in several responsible roles at her church (bazaar chair, annual cake bake chair and Women’s Fellowship chair). Rose has also served as chairperson of a local French immersion school council.
Andrew B. Hanney – Treasurer
As an award winning realtor, my main objective is to find my clients and their families a home they can be happy in. By working with, and supporting the Royal LePage Foothills Shelter Foundation, I am ensuring that those that run into unhappy situations such as domestic violence can find happiness in a home once again! I have been recognized as contributing in the Top 1% nationally, and by doing so, continue to make a difference in those less fortunate than myself!
Julieanne Hogg - Secretary
Julieanne works as an Unlicensed Real Estate Assistant to Rose Wolstenholme. She was born in Scotland and previously worked as a Broadcast Journalist/Researcher for TV & Radio with the BBC. She has been long associated with the values of volunteer work since her childhood and has volunteered with many different organisations and charities. Julieanne worked in Japan for 3 years teaching ESL before coming to Canada to be with her family in 2007.
Carol Lewis - Chairperson for Golf Skills Challenge
Carol has been on the Royal LePage Foothills Shelter Foundation committee for several years. She is the Royal LePage Advertising Account Manager with the Calgary Herald and got involved wanting to support both the Foundation and Discovery House. She loves golf and can’t wait for the season to start each spring. To get the season rolling as early as possible she came up with the idea to have an indoor golf skills challenge.
Jane Bentley – South Office
Whether I am helping someone find their 1st home, their dream home or just imagining a safe home(like a shelter for abused women and children) I am committed to utilizing the gifts I have been given. This means providing exceptional customer service to my customers and giving back to my community locally and internationally. I support a number of organizations that work with women and children to help them live and grow out of difficult situations. I believe that helping others achieve their success creates greater love in our hearts and thoughts; this is why it is an honour to be part of the Royal Lepage Foothills Shelter Foundation Committee and the causes we support. Although sometimes small, our contributions either financially or through volunteer time can make a difference!"
Louise Lawrence – Northwest Office
Working with our Shelter Foundation offers an amazing opportunity to help those women and children affected by abuse, to raise public awareness and pride in our industry and to leave a lasting legacy of the good works REALTORS® do. While the task may seem overwhelming, each of us can be part of the solution, even in the smallest way. Believe, and act, as if what you do makes a difference…it does.
